Recently, a rollercoaster has been stuck inside the Six Flags America theme park that left as many as 20 riders stranded. At present, a rescue team has started operations to make sure that the riders are landed safely.
The local fire services have said that when the rollercoaster got stalled, a total of 20 riders were on board the car that was known as the Joker’s Jinx rollercoaster.
All the riders were left stuck about 300 metres in the air.
However, the authorities said that none of them are currently in major distress. And, they were absolutely calm despite their ordeal.
The local news media has reported that the car is stuck as a 30 degree angle. According to the fire officials, the rescue team plans to remove the children first from the rollercoaster ride and lower them to the ground inside the safety of their fire truck ladder bucket.
In a certain statement, Six Flags America mentioned that Joker Jinx did not complete its regular ride cycle and this had actually caused it to halt at a perfectly safe location on the track.
The County Fire Department of Prince George is onsite with an aim to assist in getting the riders safely off the ride.
He said that the safety of their guests is their highest priority and the ride would be shut down for a thorough inspection prior to reopening.
