One of the widely popular Russian airline companies and a largest airline operator in Russian Federation, Aeroflot has appointed Gandaki International Travels as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for Nepal.
Gandaki International Travels will administer and manage the overall business of Aeroflot in Nepal.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu, Kidisyuk Sergey, general manager of Aeroloft, the expanding aviation market of Nepal offers huge possibility to airline companies. They are looking at this possibility, for this reason they have appointed Gandaki International Travels as their GSA for Nepal.
They have returned to Nepal after a gap of two years. They have previously resumed flights to New Delhi and hope to fly to Nepal soon.
Similarly, Ram Kaji Koney, president of Gandaki International Travels, said that this Nepal based travel company will try its best to influence the Aeroflot to operate flights to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Likewise, Digbijaya Koney, director of Gandaki International Travels, informed that more than 9,000 Russian tourists visited Nepal in 2016 and their average stay in Nepal was 19 days.
Digbijaya Koney said that the Russian tourists spend more time in Nepal than tourists from other tourists.
The cooperation with Aeroflot will help to bring more Russian tourists to Nepal. It will help both the countries. The Russian airline company was established 94 years ago.
Aeroflot has currently has 200 aircraft flying to more than 300 destinations of 60 countries across the world.
The average age of this largest Russian airline company is about 4.3 years
