The tourists of Ukraine increases in the first half of 2017 increased by 56.1 percent, while the number of those who left for Poland decreased by 45.4 percent.
The applicable data from the State Border Guard Service have been posted on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine recorded that there are about 2.673 million Ukrainians who are leaving for Russia, which is 56.1 percent more than in the same period in the year 2016.
The largest number of Ukrainians in this period went to Poland, which is about 4.341 million people, which is 45.4 percent less compared to the first half of 2016, according to the State Border Service.
The top three countries where the residents of Ukraine travelled during this period, also includes Hungary with 1.447 million Ukrainian tourists, which is 6.7 percent more than last year’s figure.
According to the State Border Service, there are about 6.3 million tourists entered Ukraine in the first half of the year, which is 8.7 percent more than the same figure for the previous year.
The number of Belarusians who arrived in Ukraine increased by 55.3 percent, to 1.048 million in the first half of the year.
This is 16.6 percent of all foreigners who crossed the border of Ukraine.
There are one-third of all foreigners who entered Ukraine during the mentioned period are citizens of Moldova (2.013 million).
However, this increased figure of the tourists from Ukraine is insignificantly different from last year’s data for the same period – 1.3 percent more.
The number of tourists from Russia has been increased by 4 percent, to 620,280.
