Ryanair jet detained on hoax bomb threat in Polish airport

emergency landing 1A Ryanair jet was waiting to board a flight to Oslo when the Polish police received a tip off from a hoax caller that an explosive device was on the plane. The plane had to be detained.

 

The airport was temporarily closed to incoming and outbound flights as per precautions.

 

The aircraft was searched thoroughly by the police bomb disposal officials.

 

The passengers of the Oslo flight faced inconvenience by the hoax call; Ryanair extended their apology to the passengers.

 

An airport spokesperson said that the Ryanair flight from Oslo to Modlin had to make an emergency landing because of suspicions of explosives on board.

 

However a Ryanair spokesperson said that the plane was on the ground preparing to fly to Oslo but was stopped by a hoax call. There was no emergency landing it was confirmed.
