Post the implication of the changes only the priority boarding customers will be allowed to take two bags inside the cabin with them.
Other passengers will have to surrender the second bag at the boarding gate, where it is expected to be placed in the hold free of charge.
Further there will be a reduction in the baggage check-in fee from £35 to £25 while the allowance for the said bags will increase from 15kg to 20 kg in September.
Kenny Jacobs of Ryanair said that to speed up the boarding of flights and eliminate flight delays, from January onwards restrictions will be imposed on non-priority customers to one small carry-on bag.
The first phase of the new bag policy was introduced that offered the customers lower bag fees for a 33% increase in their check-in bag allowance.
Henceforth, there will be lesser number of flight delays as few customers will be carrying two bags at the boarding gates.
