Sabre sees 9.3 per cent increase in revenue

Sabre saw 9.3 per cent increase in revenue, garnering $984 million in the first three months till June.

 

 

The company saw year-on-year booking volumes growth by 7.6  percent to 122,864 and the revenues soared to 13.2 per cent to $720 million.Its airline solutions division saw decrease in revenue by 2.4 per cent.

 

Sean Menke, Sabre chief executive stated that over the past 18 months, they significantly strengthened their position as a trusted and innovative technology partner.

 

 

There was a strong share gain at Travel Network and there were large implementation in SabreSonic at LATAM and the SynXis central reservation System at Wyndham.

 

 

The overall adjusted operating income decreased marginally by 0.3 per cent to $172 million for the quarter and the adjusted earnings per share grew5.7 per cent while the adjusted gross profit was up by 1.4 per cent to $374 million.

 

 

Further,  Visa has partnered with Sabre which will facilitate the payment specialist’s Cybersource payment management bringing an integrated reservation and fraud management solution to airlines, hotels and travel agencies.

 

 

Fernando Souza, vice president of global merchant travel solutions at Visa said that as travelling is becomi9ng completely digital, a secure payment experience will enable success.
