Six people have been reported to be gored by bulls on the second day of northern Spain’s San Fermin festival. Two of the six visitors have been reported to be seriously injured. The San Fermin festival is popularly known as ‘running with the bulls’ festival.
In the San Fermin festival, brave-hearted adrenaline junkies run through the streets of several Spanish towns with horde of bulls chasing behind. The running with the bull festival is extremely dangerous and many countries have banned events like this.
The participants tie a red scarf around their neck and join the bull race from 8 in the morning.
The six people have been gored while running in the 5 minutes and 46 seconds race with six ferocious bulls from the Cebada Gago ranch.
The deputy director at Navarra hospital, Manuel Monestino has informed that bulls have gored one runner in the belly and another one in the chest.
Total 8 races get organized with the bulls during the San Fermin festival. As this incident has occurred just on the second day of the festival, the number of injured people may rise very soon.
