Representatives of Wyoming Office of Tourism, Wyoming Travel Industry Coalition, Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association, Carbon County Visitors Council and local people having inclination in hospitality and tourism industry had congregated on Oct. 11-12 on Saratoga for a fall summit.
The 10th, 11th and 12th of this month were on full capacity at the Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, Hotel Wolf and Riviera Lodge. “It should be a pretty good economic impact for the community,” Stacy Crimmins, Saratoga Chamber Commerce Director explained.
However, Crimmins has been to these conferences before. The last was in Jackson few years back. She explained that approximately fifty people participated in the Jackson event. However, Crimmins will not be astonished if by any chance greater number of attendees pours into Saratoga as it’s comparatively close to Cheyenne and Casper.
The Platte Valley Community Center is the venue of the meeting had started from 10 a.m. and on the 11th it will continue till 5 p.m. Meetings started at 8:15 a.m. on the 12th i.e. today and went till 5 p.m. There was a reception to greet the participants at the Saratoga Hot Springs Resort courtyard from 6-8 p.m. yesterday.
“It is a behind the scenes kind of summit,” Crimmins said. “Because when I go the Hospitality and Tourism Conference, it is more oriented to the giving of presentations, while this summit is more of discussion and opportunity to present ideas.”
Crimmins is quite hopeful to see the creative thoughts that WOT presents.
“They always have incredible quality videos, newspaper ads and promotional ads,” Crimmins said. “They are very inspiring.”
