Sarawak CM says the country will benefit from the Belt and Road Initiative

Chief ministers Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg stated that Sarawak will be benefitting from the new markets that will emerge due to the Belt and Road Initiative.

 

 

There would be better access to the Chinese markets and those in the Aesan countries, the Middle East and the eastern European markets.

 

 

It will help in developing emerging economies as investment and trade would speed up development.

 

He said that developing a big state like Sarawak is a formidable task and they were doing their best to move as fast as possible to be at par with the rest of the country and the world.

 

 

The Sarawak government is keen on developing the country and is always looking for ways to provide the best infrastructure available.

 

The Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Masing read his speech during the 1st International Conference on Belt and Road on UiTM Sarawak.

 

Through avenues like this Sarawak will be able to achieve its target and there are many obstacles ahead for the Sarawak government to move the economy to greater heights  and get a high-income society.

 

Collaboration with foreign institutions through research and development will help Sarawak to move forward.

 

A significant development strategy was launched by the Chinese government to promote economic cooperation n among countries along the proposed ‘Belt and Road’ routes.

 

It will enhance the free-flow of economic factors in an orderly manner and intensify the market integration along with regional co-operation framework for the benefit of all stakeholders.

 

There will be new opportunities to all parties encouraged by the flow of the capital, goods and services between Asia and the rest of the world through market integration and the establishment of new ties among communities by building global business.
