Yogesh Mudras, the managing director of event organizer UBM India said that SATTE will provide a comprehensive platform to domestic and international buyers and professionals from around the travel, tourism and hospitality industry along with National and State Tourism Boards (NTOs and STOs) to assemble and conduct business, arrive at solution-driven innovations to work against economic uncertainties and promote inbound, outbound and domestic tourism in India.
This year, SATTE witnessed participation from over 1000 exhibitors.
“Domestic tourism is growing by about 20%. I see robust future for the travel sector and participation for SATTE is growing from strength to strength. Our footfalls in 2018 were 35% more than 2017. This is a B2B show. The sector is getting more organized,” Mudras said.
Mudras said that quite a few countries are aiming at expanding their spaces for SATTE 2019 and individual states are coming in to promote themselves in addition to participation of countries.
Turkey has been SATTE’s biggest exhibitor till date and countries are focusing on multiple segments keeping in mind the diverse Indian travellers, Mudras added.
