As part of this campaign, ‘I am 25’, SATTE had organized a conference entitled ‘Thought Leadership Summit’ that was a spectacle to 25 industry leaders interacting on a large range of industry topics. For the very first time, the conference was broadcasted live to the travel trade sections of Indian fraternity and there were more than 900 registrations and 434 live viewers.
The Summit had been released by the Former Governor of Manipur and Mizoram, Vinod Duggal, Vinod Zutshi, Former Tourism Secretary, Government of India, Subhash Goyal, Member, National Tourism Advisory Council, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and many others.
Speaking about the development in tourism sector, Duggal said that India Tourism is progressing forward steadily despite the presence of many challenges.
The discussion topics comprised the changing dynamics of Indian outbound, emerging trends in the sphere of travel technology, role of travel associations, airlines car rentals and cruises and more.
Speaking about the future of this sector Zutshi said that they have been witnessing a double digit growth of foreign tourists of nearly 15% last year and 1.7 billion domestic tourists with about 12.36& job employment.
