Saudi Arabian Airlines has resumed regular scheduled flights to Algeria in order to facilitate travel by businessmen and economic operators of the two countries to contribute towards promoting bilateral economic co-operation.
The Airlines’ services from and to Algeria were limited to charter flights ferrying Algerian pilgrims to the kingdom over the past few years.
The first of the airline’s four weekly flights from Jeddah to Algiers landed at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers at dawn Monday (Nov 21).
Two flights will operate in this route. The first links Jeddah to Algiers with two flights a week, and the second connects Medina to Algiers also with two flights a week.
Saudi Arabian Airlines will also continue with its charter flights for Algerian pilgrims going on the haj.
