In order to enhance Scottish economy, TripAdvisor has collaborated on a deal with Scotland’s tourism agency. As explained by the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon to the VisitScotland deal, a first kind of for TripAdvisor in Europe and New York as reported by the BBC News.
Scottish tourism would be promoted in front of 70 million possible new travelers and enthusiasts as explained by the first minister while speaking on the final day of her visit to the United States. The two organizations will work jointly through a massive marketing campaign in the UK.
To quote Sturgeon, ‘Our tourism industry has always been strong—spending by North American visitors leapt by almost 28% to £633 million ($783.2 million) in the last year alone. However, it’s crucial that we ensure Scotland’s appeal reaches as wide an audience as possible.’ She explained that this association will make millions of people understand Scotland’s charm and appeal and boost its tourism industry for the years ahead.
She said, ‘The fact TripAdvisor has chosen Scotland as its first European partner shows just how resilient they believe Scotland’s economy to be and the fact we were voted the second-best country in the world to visit by the Rough Guide means site visitors are guaranteed a good holiday.’
