With snow nowhere on the horizon, Lobby Lounge bartender Sarah Rahl dreamed up her own nostalgic nod to the holidays and a classic Cosmopolitan. Dubbed Dreaming of a White Cosmo, this merry Martini features Dripping Springs vodka, Cointreau and white cranberry and lime juices and is garnished with frozen cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
Even those with the sourest attitude will see the glass as half full after one sip of the Grinchmas. That is, until it’s empty, which is sure to happen thanks to Rahl’s delicious mix of Rittenhouse rye, Tempus Fugit creme de cacao and creme de menthe and Aztec chocolate bitters.
For a traditional hot toddy, the Hotel turns to Executive Chef Elmar Prambs’ favourite German drink: mulled wine. Calling to mind images of an idyllic Bavarian Village, this heady concoction warms from within with its potent mix of cabernet, Texas wildflower honey, figs, raisins and other holiday spices.
There’s plenty to celebrate during the holidays, and nothing calls for more cheers than a premium glass of Champagne. This year, holiday visitors will be able to try some of the best vintages available thanks to a special Champagne menu featuring such well-known names as Moët & Chandon, Domaine Chandon and Dom Pérignon, all offered by the glass.
Available in the Lobby Lounge through January 2, 2018, this year’s holiday cocktails are USD 14 each, with glasses of Champagne ranging from USD 14 to USD 45.
