Over 60 passengers including 48 golfers, sponsoring officials from MCB, and Staysure Tour partnerslanded at the Seychelles International Airport at Pointe Larue earlier today for the second leg of theMCB Tour Championship 2019, scheduled to be held at Constance Lemuria in Praslin betweenThursday, 5 December and Saturday, 7 December, 2019.The passengers due to arrive in the Seychelles yesterday on another airline from Madagascar wereunable to travel as the airline did not operate the flight. To ensure the tournament commences ontime, Air Seychelles quickly organized to operate the charter flight between Madagascar and theSeychelles.The celebrity golf players including winner of the first step of the MCB Tour Championship, BarryLane, voyaged on board Air Seychelles Airbus A320neo aircraft following an intense three daycompetition in Madagascar, the first location for this year’s edition of the MCB Staysure Tour.The flight commanded by Captain Winsley Confiance and First Officer Andre Mcgaw was supportedby Cabin Manager, Mervin Arrisol, Cabin Senior Kethra Quatre as well as Flight Attendants LionelBick and Ryan Bonne.Upon disembarkation, the guests were treated to a warm welcome jointly by the Air Seychellesground handling team and colleagues from the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) prior to proceedingin the Air Seychelles VIP Lounge and on board the airline’s Twin Otter aircraft to the island of Praslinwhere the next phase of the competition will take place.Other organisations involved in ensuring a smooth transfer at the Seychelles International Airportincluded staff members from the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authorities, Seychelles RevenueCommission, the Immigration Department and the Seychelles Police Force.Air Seychelles Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Remco Althuis said: “It has indeed been an immensepleasure to once again welcome the golfers and partners this time on board our new AirbusA320neo aircraft.
