Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture said this morning that in Seychelles today opportunities in the field of tourism was indeed available as never seen before, and this only because the industry was performing well. The successes the country is experiencing is because we are all working together and because the Tourism Board has kept our islands visible right around the world. “Now it is important as we move forward to see each and everyone of us support the each other, and for industry players to respect and concentrate on their core business for which they are licensed to operate. This will bring more respect for one another. Also it is today more important than ever before to support activities and facilities that are part and parcel of the greater tourism industry of Seychelles. These include parks and gardens, historical sites, stand alone specialities restaurants, operators in diving, sailing, boating, trails and walks, bird watching amongst others. In so doing we shall be spreading the tourism wealth and increasing the yield from our tourism industry. When innovation opens opportunities for our tourism industry, the importance of promoting these initiatives is needed. Seychelles has reached the stage in its tourism development where it needs to embrace the path of sustainability, where work and operating ethics will bring a trade ready to defend and respect its industry” said Minister St.Ange this morning.
