The hotel has fused modern elegance with the rich local traditions. The 32-storey hotel is within walking distance of the lake’s scenic area, Suzhou International Expo Centre and to the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre. It is situated near the subway station and offering easy access to the local attractions.
The hotel has 330 spacious guestrooms and suites and 16 serviced residences with views of Jinji Lake and the city landscape. A movable wall in the open-style bathroom changes the room into a private sanctuary. Suites spread across 96 square metres and are full of luxuries including Shangri-La fragrance.
Guests staying in suites or on dedicated Horizon floors have the chance to enjoy personalized services of the Horizon Club Lounge where breakfasts, refreshments and cocktails will be served on a daily basis.
There are two distinct culinary offerings including Shang Garden, the Chinese restaurant of the hotel which offers local culinary classics in a setting that blends patterned silk panels and Chinese art. There is an all-day dining restaurant named “Café Hong”, which serves international cuisine with a live cooking theatre.
Guests can enjoy casual refreshments in the Sip Lounge. With its six-metre-high ceiling, crystal chandelier and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden, the lounge provide a large selection of tea and beverages in the afternoon.
There are also two pillar-free ballrooms of 1,000 and 384 square metres respectively. The ballrooms along with seven multifunctional spaces are perfect for the wedding and other events. The Kun Opera theme Coffee breaks allow guests to enjoy coffee with classical local opera performances in the garden.
The Health Club and Spa offers a 24-hour gym where guests work out against a panoramic view or swim in the temperature-controlled swimming pool. A space for kinetic exercises, steam bath and a Jacuzzi helps guest to rejuvenate.
