Understanding millennial travelers and the recent trend of budget tourism will be the prime focus at the Sharjah Hospitality Forum (SHF) of this year, which was inaugurated today at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Center.

Organized under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the forum is arranged by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) under the theme ‘Trends of Millennials and Budget Tourism,’ which targets to emphasize the role of these demographics in shaping and driving the key trends of the sector.

As efforts to further expand the hospitality sector of emirate are being built up to make it the best destination for visitors and tourists, including millennials, across the globe, the hosting of the event complements the quest of the goals set by the Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, which is all set to target over 10 million tourists to the emirate by the year 2021.

Understanding and catering to the tourism and travel requirements of the millennial traveler has turned out to be very important in effectively expanding the tourism and travel industry. In light of these developments, the recent edition of the Hospitality Industry Forum brings forth all hotel establishments in Sharjah, stakeholders, real estate investors, local government departments, and tour operators to talk about, consider and explore ways to make the emirate’s tourism and hospitality sector more appealing to budget globetrotters and millennials.
