After Nevada it is Los Angeles. After a school shootout now it is the turn of an airport shooting spree. A TSA worker was killed and at least one other was injured when a gunman opened fire inside a busy terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, a report stated.
The shooter reportedly confronted the security worker before firing a round in the man’s leg and firing several shots inside Terminal 3 about 9:30 a.m., NBC Los Angeles reported.
Another TSA employee was hit by the flurry of bullets before authorities managed to nab the suspect, who was supposedly armed with a rifle. One of the workers died after he was taken to the hospital, the news station reported.
“There seems to be a rifle on the floor being guarded by a police officer,” one person tweeted with a picture of the weapon. It was not immediately known how badly the two people were hurt or if other victims were shot in the gunfire. One person was being treated for a sprained ankle who followed a group of people through an emergency exit outside.
“While I was on the tarmac, I heard two gunshots from the same area where the people had been running and screaming,” he told the reporters.
He said he boarded a bus that came later to pick up the stranded passengers and there was a TSA agent bleeding from his ankle.
“I got shot, I’m fine,” the agent told him.
“It looked like it was straight out of the movies,” said.
