Six Flags appoints new president Neal Thurman, former veteran theme park executive

Neal-ThurmanA veteran theme park executive has been chosen to run Six Flags Magic Mountain.


He is expected to replace the president who had started at the Valencia theme park flipping burgers and his name is Neal Thurman. He had worked at many theme parks of Six Flags across the nation for the last 22 years.


Recently he had headed the Six Flags park that is based in Jackson, N.J.


Thurman takes over Bonnie Sherman Weber who was promoted to senior vice president of in-park services at the Grand Prairie, Texas, headquarters of the parent company of the park, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.


She had started at the Valencia park over 30 years ago. In 2010 Weber was named president of the park.


Thurman had previously worke3d at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia for seven years starting in the year 2007, as director of operations. He had also rendered his services for the Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. Thurman had held many management positions at parks including Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
