Six Flags Magic Mountain Park announced from January 1, 2018 onwards it will remain available to visitors 365 days and join the league of the LA area destination attractions like the Disneyland and the Universal Studios Hollywood.
Bonnie Weber, the park’s president said in order to tap the market they have to remain open 365 days. This will lead to the company’s increased presence both domestically and internationally with the potential of capturing more than 47 million visitors.
Magic Mounatin is a sought after destination for tourists, convention attendees and visitors. It was opened in 1971 and known for its impressive collection of roller coasters. The brand looks forward to rolling out Six Flags Park in Dubai, China and locations beyond the USA.
All the company’s parks have been extending their operating calendar and this will be the first time that Six Flags is entering into the destination market.
The peak period for six flags was between Memorial Day and Labor Day but with the celebration of Halloween events, Christmas celebrations, spring break promotions and other festivals these shoulder season have become increasingly important for Six Flags and its regional Parks competitors.
The Great Escape in Lake George, New York is the chain’s smallest property with an indoor water park hotel that remains open throughout the year.
The company plans to develop Six Flags –branded accommodations at nearby off-site location along with a third-party hotel partner.
Magic Mountain will further be developing the ‘wow zones’, the visitors will experience an increased focus on stories, events and there will be more attention to other details.
Bonnie Weber further added that people should gather a great compelling reason to visit this area.
