Unknown number of people were drowned and went missing.
M. Ariful Islam, Lieutenant Colonel of the Border Guard of Bangladesh confirmed the report.However, he could not mention the exact time of the boat capzise but it was expected to have happened yesterday.
The bodies were floating in the Shah Porir Island , after receiving the information the BGB, Bangladesh Navy and Coast Guard immediately rushed to rescue the passengers and recover the bodies.
The official further said that there was no information as how the passengers could swim ashore. The Rohingya muslim were travelling in small boats that carried 25-30 people.
It was not known from where the boat started off or the passengers were among the 450 detained by Bangladeshi border guards and were returning to Burma .
It was reported that the body guards allowed refugees across the borders while others sent them back.
