Six Senses Uluwatu announced the appointment of Gaehler

Michael Gaehler has been appointed by Six Senses to the role of general manager of Six Senses Uluwatu.

He holds more than 33 years of experience within the high-end hospitality sector and has  recently worked as general manager of the Oriental Residences Bangkok.

He is earlier known to serve at Regent Hotels & Resorts and  managed the group’s hotels and resorts in Montenegro, Taiwan, China and Indonesia.

He started his career in hotel by working in the hometown of Zurich, Switzerland after graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School Belvoirpark.

In some of the Europe’s leading boutique hotels he was responsible for broader food and beverage roles which included  Villa il Tessoro in Tuscany, Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten and Hotel Giardino in Ascona.

Due to  Gaehler’s extensive travels he has an understanding of many cultures and their food.

He is also able to find the best local markets with the freshest produce.

With Six Senses Uluwatu he will get  the opportunity to add the colourful markets of Bali to his list together with the archipelago’s diverse cuisine.
