Ski resort bound bus crashes killing 14 in Japan

bus crashes  in JapanA bus ferrying tourists to a ski resort in Japan rolled off the mountain roadway and flipped over a guardrail killing fourteen people as it fell.

 

 

There were 41 people in the bus mostly in their 20’s. It was headed straight to the Kita Shiga in Yamanouchi Town the popular ski resort. 27 people were injures when the bus crashed near the Karuizawa town, Nagano Prefecture. It is still not clear what may have caused the accident.

 

 

The accident occurred at about 2 a.m. when the vehicle fell almost three meters into a ditch. The road had no trace of snow and the conditions were dry when the bus veered off a road in central Japan. It was an overnight journey that the bus was making and carrying 39 passengers and two drivers.
