January 2013: Situated in the picturesque King Albert Square, The Norman is a combination of two historic apartment buildings from the 1920’s that have been transformed into a stylish hotel that remains true to its surrounding Bauhaus architectural monuments and features a contemporary art collection within the hotel.
The Norman is designed in soft muted hues and is made up of 50 rooms and suites that include two penthouse apartments with sweeping terraces, hardwood floors and other luxury amenities.
The hotel features two restaurants, one of which is the Dining Room which has an alfresco dining area in the garden and serves exquisite Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Israeli flair. The second is The Rooftop terrace which serves delectable Asian cuisine and here, guest can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the city which was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in 2003. Alternatively, private dining can also be arranged in the comfort of guests’ rooms and suites for those seeking a little privacy.
The Norman is adjacent to the trendy Rothschild Boulevard – the first boulevard in Tel Aviv. Rothschild Boulevard by day is a commercial centre with major financial institutions lining the street. By night, it is bustling with party goers, people leisurely strolling down the tree-lined boulevard and those seeking to experience some of the most sought-after dining experiences in the city. Guests of The Norman can also approach The Norman’s Concierge for nifty tips on where to go.
After an exhausting day exploring the city, guests can retreat to the hotel and enjoy the hotel’s signature pomegranate martini by the pool or indulge in a relaxing outdoor massage or casual stroll around the garden.
