Smoke smell prompts emergency landing of American Airlines

american-airlinesAn American Airlines Boeing 767 had to go for an emergency landing.

 

It had made a landing at Norfolk International Airport (ORF), according to an official.

 

Steve Sterling who is a spokesman of ORF said that there was a smell of smoke inside the cockpit of a flight that was travelling from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Miami. A spokesperson of American Airlines, named Katie Cody has confirmed that there has been no smoke or fire on board the plane, however.

 

Also, there have no reports of any kind of injuries as a consequence of the emergency landing.

 

The plane was capable of making a perfectly safe emergency landing. A total of 202 passengers were on board the plane, as per Sterling.

 

American Airlines is working to obtain a new plane to the passengers.
