Snake stirs panic and forces passenger plane to land in Luton

Published on : Friday, November 1, 2013

emergency landing 1The passengers of a Britain bound plane departing from Israel had the most shocking experience as they suddenly realized that accompanying them in the same plane was an unusual passenger — A snake!

The snake belonged to a fellow passenger who claimed it to be his pet. It was completely harmless, he said. But that did not keep even one passenger from sitting calmly.

Easyjet also claimed that the animal was harmless and that those on board were completely out of danger. But it was not enough to satisfy the passengers who called the authorities and demanded an immediate landing. The plane was made to land after much ado at Luton.

A spokeswoman said that easyJet can confirm that a passenger brought a small, pet snake in a container on board a flight from Tel Aviv to Luton. As soon as crew became aware of this they dealt with the issue in a professional manner, immediately contacting the authorities to ensure they met the aircraft.

So the plane was flying to Luton, and then forced to land at Luton because the passengers didn’t want to be on the same flight to Luton as the snake….. Wasn’t that all a little pointless?

  2. Shirley Knot says:

So – the snake was with its owner in a proper container and the plane landed as scheduled at Luton which was its destination. In other words NOTHING HAPPENED.

Some people are just so eager to panic and/or take offense. Honestly, this was ridiculous. Glad to hear the crew acted professionslly, but – really? They forced the plane to land. Seriously? Glad I wasn’t flying with those passengers!
