Queenstown’s award-winning Sofitel Hotel has unveiled a lavish new-look top suite, Penthouse No.10, following an impressive NZ$2 million upgrade completed to coincide with the destination’s peak summer season.Sofitel General Manager Vincent Macquet is “delighted” by the result and expects the renovation to extend and enhance the boutique hotel’s offerings in the luxury market.
“We’re excited to reveal our new-look Penthouse No.10. Our designers have worked to deliver a chic, modern makeover befitting a Parisian-meets alpine style apartment. Whilst we’ve updated our furnishings and artwork, and refreshed our luxe colour palette and finishes, the team also took care to retain the indulgent French influence and accessible Queenstown charm of this amazing space.”Located just a few steps from the heart of Queenstown on the top floor of the Sofitel, the 225sqm penthouse features sweeping views of Lake Wakatipu, two living areas and fireplaces, an eight-seat dining table, private movie theatre, Bose audio system and latest technology Apple TV with more than 120 TV channels.
The private bar provides a selection of French and New Zealand wines, French Champagne and high-end spirits. There’s a butler at the service of guests and the hotel’s talented Executive Chef will personally craft afternoon canapés daily.
Every stay at Penthouse No. 10 includes a range of luxury extras including private airport transfers, breakfast and canapés served daily in Left Bank Bistro or in the privacy of the Penthouse.
There’s also a decadent wellbeing component that includes a two-hour treatment of choice from the menu at Sofitel Queenstown’s award-winning So Spa. Guests can choose to have their So Spa treatment in the privacy of the Penthouse, or even on the balcony whilst overlooking scenic Lake Wakatipu.
