SOTC observes growth in spiritual tourism

Spiritual tourism-IndiaIn order to meet the rising demand of spiritual tourism in the nation, SOTC has introduced ‘Darshans’ in association with ePuja.


ePuja is the first online portal of India for different religious ceremonies earlier this year. Darshans by SOTC represents a selection of more than 40 specially designed religious and spiritual experiences across as many as 60 sacred destinations in India.


These tours have been planned keeping in mind the particular requirements of travellers to conveniently aid their spiritual journey.


This package includes peaceful and hassle-free religious experience like special ‘havan’, puja, ‘abhisheka’, assisted temple visit among a few other unique facilities.


This company has already received an immense motivating response in just about 3 months of introducing Darshans.


A fresh report by SOTC states that these tours are quite popular with customers in the age group above 50 years, up to 65 years.


The highest queries about this genre of travel sector was received from Southern India. Most popular packages are Varanasi Gaya Prayag Darshan, Ujjain Mahakal Darshan and Dwarka Somnath Darshan. And, the destinations witnessing an upward trend include Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi Bodhgaya, Somnath in Gujarat and so on.


And with a view to cater to the ever increasing customer demand SOTC has also launched Shirdi packages facilitating smooth travel and Darshan to Shirdi Saibaba Temple.


Furthermore VIP Darshan passes are also available with options to choose and attend special aarti’s like ‘Madhyan Aarti’ (noon), ‘Kakad Aarti’ (morning), ‘Dhoop Aarti’ (evening) and ‘Shej Aarti’ (night) that would be offered by SOTC on request.


Requests have also been received for an inclusion of Tirupati packages in the Darshans.


Speaking about the popularity of this initiative, Amod Thatte, Head Product, Contracting & Innovation, SOTC Travel asserted that the launch of SOTC Darshans has actually witnessed a very encouraging response from their customers and travellers.
