South African AirwaysSouth African Airways (SAA) introduces services to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. With this SAA has introduced a second entry point to Nigeria to add to its existing route to Lagos, Nigeria’s former capital and main financial hub.

The opening of services to a second gateway in Nigeria would play a significant role in the growth of Africa’s two biggest economies, SAA said in a statement in Johannesburg on Monday.

SAA said the addition of Abuja to its route network followed on the success of other major West African cities such as Lagos and Accra in Ghana.

Notably, Nigeria is the fastest growing air travel market in Africa, SAA said.

Considered the two economic powerhouses of Africa, Nigeria and South Africa, the newly introduced routes will provide seamless connectivity and provide strong economic ties.
