Tourism leaders from across South Carolina, including Charleston, are looking for attracting more visitors to their attractions. The leaders have assembled at the Spartanburg Marriott for the annual South Carolina Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Travel, which started yesterday and will continue through Wednesday.
This three-day event is a great opportunity for tourism leaders for marketing the state.
Tourism is one of South Carolina’s major industries with an annual economic impact of more than $19 billion. There will be noted speakers at the event like Jonah Berger and Peter Tarlow.
This annual conference alternates between cities across the state. This year’s agenda includes tours of Spartanburg, including an opportunity to “tear up the track” at the BMW Performance Center.
