Jon Feltheimer, who is the CEO of Lionsgate has mentioned it to the media that the company is planning to come up with a major theme park inspired by the immensely popular book and television series ‘Hunger Games’ and ‘Twilight’ in South Korea.
Motivated by the concepts of Universal Studios, who possesses theme parks in the U.S. as well as Asia, Lionsgate is eager to design an amusement park based on their two most successful franchises.
Twilight and Hunger Games constitute some of their hottest sagas. Lionsgate Movie World would be divided into seven different story lines. But then, the studio has not yet specified which ones.
Visitors arriving in this theme park would be capable of walking around in the world of the feature films, and definitely be thrilled every moment of their time spent here.
Furthermore, visitors would also be able to let their hair down, relaxing and enjoying rides based on these popular movies, apart from indulging in the delicacies offered by the restaurants and cafes.
In addition, they can also buy things from souvenir shops here.
The construction of this brand new theme park would commence in 2018 and would be opened to public by 2019. It would be based in the middle of the Jeju Shinhwa World resort located on the Korean island of Jeju.
Jon Feltheimer expressed his enthusiasm stating that they are pleased to join their friends at Landing International representing one of the premier developers of Asia for the purpose of constructing their largest and most exciting entertaining destinations.
