In view of the activity to be held at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) tomorrow, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) has been working closely with the airport community and public transport operators to implement special measures to ensure the smooth operation and traffic of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

Airport-bound Airport Express trains will only take passengers from Hong Kong Station to the airport, while city-bound Airport Express trains from the airport will only stop at Hong Kong Station. In-town check-in service at Kowloon Station will be suspended for the whole day, while in-town check-in service at Hong Kong Station will remain normal.
Starting from 1100hrs tomorrow until close of service, all “E” routes buses departing from downtown area terminuses and airport terminus will not stop at AWE. From 1400hrs onwards, all “E” routes buses departing from downtown area terminuses will terminate at Tung Chung, while “E” routes buses departing from the airport to downtown areas will maintain its operation but will not stop at AWE.
All “S” routes buses departing from Tung Chung terminus to the airport will not stop at AWE starting from 1100hrs until close of service. From 1500hrs onwards, all “S” routes buses will stop at Tung Chung terminus but will suspend boarding, while “S” routes buses departing from the airport will maintain its operation but will not stop at AWE.
Passengers travelling to the airport by bus are advised to take the “A” routes and stay tuned to traffic information.
Meanwhile, SkyCity Car Park of the airport will be closed for the whole day tomorrow because of operational considerations.
Access control at the terminal buildings of HKIA continues. Only bona fide passengers with a valid air ticket or boarding pass for a flight in the next 24 hours and a valid travel document will be allowed to enter the terminal buildings. Airport security staff will be deployed to Hong Kong Station to assist checks with travellers heading to the airport regarding required documents or proof.
Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time to travel to the airport. Passengers can also check with their respective airlines, or the airport’s website and “HKG My Flight” mobile app for updated flight information.
