The four-day event will be held in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), which will be hosting the event.
This year’s Annual Summit 2017 brings together thought leaders and industry professionals from around the world under the theme “Disruption. Innovation. Transformation: The Future of Tourism”.
The PATA will also host the UNWTO/PATA Ministerial Debate which brings together Tourism Ministers and leading industry experts to address challenging issues.
The annual summit will be a high-profile event and a great opportunity for Sri Lanka in terms of tourism. Sri Lanka is expecting to bring home 2.5 million tourists this year and boost their tourism sector. Currently, Sri Lanka is going through a rapid growth of tourist arrivals, especially during the peak seasons, bringing increased tourist expenditure.
The event will showcase an illustrious line of speakers and panellists, including Secretary General, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Dr. Taleb Rifai, Founder and CEO of ACI HR Solutions Andrew Chan, Chairman, PATA Andrew Jones and Chairman, Jetwing Hotels Hiran Cooray. These travel and tourism veterans will be ready to share their in-depth knowledge and analytical skills to make them applicable for the country’s tourism growth.
