Southern Utah’s coolest charity event, the annual SkyWest Mini Indy, races into St. George on March 18! This heart-pumping, fast-paced event brings together businesses from around the world and raises money to support countless families and individuals through the United Way Dixie. In the 16 years since its inception, the event has raised more than $1 million for charity.
“What started with just a few go-karts 16 years ago has now grown into an incredible
competition to give back to our people and the community,” said Mike Thompson, SkyWest Airlines COO. “We have great support from teams locally and around the world, and we’re looking forward to seeing them back on the race track next week.”
The checkered flag will fly at the Ridgetop Raceway (former SGU airport) on Friday,
March 18 at 10 a.m. sharp. Each of the teams will then compete in a series of heats throughout the day in pursuit of the coveted Grand Champion trophy!
Throughout the event, SkyWest and the City of St. George will host more than 45 businesses and teams from around the world as they compete in Mini Indy and its various events. From the private golf tournament at Sunbrook Golf Course to the race itself, Mini Indy is on track to deliver an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Members of the media are invited to attend the race, where they can meet with the teams and experience the excitement of Mini Indy.
