Steppes Travel Festival to support eradication of plastic pollution

steppesThe second annual Beyond festival conducted by the tour operator Steppes Travel will lay emphasis on the removal of plastic pollution.


The two-day festival will be hosted at London’s Royal Geographical Society on September 30 and October 1. It will highlight the damage being caused to the world’s oceans due to plastic pollution.

The weekend festival will have a series of talks by conservationists, explorers and experts including Jo Ruxton, producer of the ‘A Plastic Ocean’ film, Dr Sylvia Earle, a US marine biologist and explorer, and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.



There will be expert speakers to discuss on the Land-based wildlife conservation. TV’s Chris Packham, Saba Douglas Hamilton, campaigner for the Save the Elephants Foundation, and Dr Amy Dickman, founder of Tanzania’s Carnivore Project will throw light on wildlife conservation.

#REFUSETOUSE campaign is backed by conservationists and will be used by Steppes to promote the cause of not using plastic.

Beyond festival was first launched by the tour operator in the year 2016.
