Flights in San Francisco International Airport were delayed by 60-90 minutes due to the rains in North California. 110 shorter commuting flights were cancelled. Travelers were asked to check their airline booking to confirm their flights.
North California saw heavy rains across the Bay Areas which include flooding, rock slides causing slow commuting in the area. Rocks and trees were uprooted and came down on Palomares Road near Fremont.
Mineta San Jose International Airport officials reported delays of up to 20 minutes for some flights while Oakland International Airport officials said no major delays were reported.
Flood warnings were issued on Interstate 101 in Corte Madera.
Elsewhere around Northern California there was rain and gusty winds, and flood watches were posted on a long stretch of the north coast from the Mendocino area to the Oregon border.
Some rain was expected along the Central Coast, while gusty winds hit much of southwestern California.
