Guests frequent Santa Barbara for a taste of the good life, particularly in Montecito where Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara offers unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and unparalleled food and wine experiences. This summer, the Resort’s tasting series will shine a bright spotlight on popular beverages sure to delight even the most seasoned palate.
The series begins in May 2016 with a Patrón aged-barrel launch, sharing fine tequila against the backdrop of the magnificent Ty Lounge. Though the popular Cinco de Mayo holiday falls on a Thursday, the tasting series event on Friday, May 6 allows guests to continue celebrating well into the weekend. Priced at USD 49 including paired tapas, the event from 5:30 to 8:30 pm also is offered as part of a rooms package that includes overnight deluxe accommodations and two tickets to the tequila tasting starting at USD 595.
The world recognises rosé wine with an international tasting day on June 10 and Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara gives guests and locals alike the opportunity to raise a glass to French and Californian “pink” wine with a special tasting event in the Palmera Garden from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for USD 69. Event attendees also will enjoy French appetisers paired to match the summery wines.
Microbrews from Santa Barbara are given a special showcase on Friday, July 22 with a special beer tasting event located on the ocean front La Pacifica Terrace from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for USD 65. Beers from Figueroa Brewing Company, Telegraph Brewery, Island Brewing Company and Rincon Brewery will offer tastings alongside treats as part of an American Independence celebration entitled “Red, White and Brew.”
In August, the Bella Vista Restaurant hosts an exceptional wine dinner at sunset featuring action stations with food designed to pair with the exceptional wines of the Santa Ynez Valley’s Sunstone Winery for USD 79. Held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on August 26, winemaker Bion Rice will be on hand to share his favourite varietals.
The series concludes in September with a tribute to the harvest season in the Santa Ynez Valley. Rare local wines will be offered for tastings on Friday the 23 in a beautiful resort venue to celebrate the proximity of Four Seasons to one of the world’s finest wine-growing regions (USD 69).
