The roadshow is being conducted from 4to till 11th April.
This included stops in regions like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Chicago and Toronto. And, it offered several opportunities for travel professionals to connect with over 40 Swiss partners comprising transportation, hotels and destinations.
A brand new type of event for Switzerland Tourism, this roadshow was inspired by the increased enthusiasm in Switzerland and the positive travel trends in the year 2016. The year 2016 happened to be the seventh year of growth for this country as 6.5% more Americans have been visiting Switzerland as compared to the previous year.
Apart from this, the roadshow is acting as a smart platform to inform the travel advisers about the brand new e-learning program of Switzerland that has been launched this month.
The interactive online Switzerland Travel Academy provides core training and also specialization modules enabling agents to be focused on niche markets like outdoor and family activities.
Pascal Prinz who is the manager of trade relations on the East Coast for Switzerland Tourism said that they were ready to offer high-quality training.
Prinz also said that this training includes certain features like the leading 10 experiences for quizzes and videos, different interests and market-specific information like flight options and exchange rates.
