Sydney Airport has announced an Australian airport first with Tiffany & Co., the world’s premier jeweller, confirmed as one of the first retailers to open in the new T1 International luxury precinct offering passengers more choice.
Opening in the first half of 2016, Tiffany & Co. will join a premium collection of 13 luxury designer brands at the airport. The newly opened luxury precinct is part of the improvement program at Sydney Airport to deliver an enhanced airport experience for passengers.
Tiffany & Co., which has delighted customers around the world since 1837 with its timeless collections and superior craftsmanship, will occupy the largest store footprint in the 1,900m2 precinct. In addition to Tiffany’s celebrated diamond engagement rings, the store will showcase magnificent diamonds and colourful gemstones, fine and sterling silver jewellery, the acclaimed creations of Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger, signature collections such as Tiffany T, watches, gifts, and leather accessories.
“By welcoming Tiffany & Co. to T1 we’re creating an enviable luxury retail shopping experience for our international passengers, with some of the most recognised brands in the world, and T1 will be the only airport destination in Australia where passengers can shop for these brands,” Sydney Airport General Manager, Retail Glyn Williams said.
“The new luxury precinct within T1 Departures will soon showcase a vast selection of premier designers, providing more choice for passengers with a range of brands and new and on-trend luxury products across fashion, technology and lifestyle.”
Sydney Airport’s T1 will soon be one of Sydney’s leading fashion destinations, offering an international retail mix delivering more choice and value to customers.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of Tiffany & Co. and bring over 175 years of design excellence to Sydney Airport’s T1. The T1 International terminal provides the perfect environment for our customers to experience a premier shopping experience before they fly,” Tiffany & Co. Vice President and Managing Director Oceania, Glen Schlehuber said.
The revitalisation of T1’s luxury precinct will be complemented by a new premium food and dining precinct and a superior duty free offering with partner HEINEMANN.
