Sydney Airport was acknowledged for its customer experience offering including its revitalised retail, food and beverage precincts.
The magazine said: “Breezing through Sydney’s Domestic terminals is an absolute pleasure, with great shopping and coffee, and restaurants such as MoVida to get you in the holiday mood.”
Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic terminal has recently undergone significant improvements designed to enhance the airport experience for passengers, visitors and staff.
“We’re delighted to be recognised by our passengers and visitors as the best airport in Australia. The People’s Choice Award is a strong endorsement by passengers of the improvements we have made to our terminals to deliver more choice and greater value for passengers,” Sydney Airport Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kerrie Mather said.
As part of the revitalisation, Sydney Airport has refreshed its T2 casual dining precinct, offering travellers an extensive selection of healthy, fast and fresh food and beverage choices across a range of price points. The offering includes high-profile burger restaurant Chur Burger in an airport first, a wider selection of healthy options including SumoSalad Green Label, as well as other gourmet and street food options.
The casual dining precinct is matched with an enhanced retail offering including renowned Spanish retailer Desigual in an Australian airport first, America’s favourite brand for bath and body products Bath & Body Works in an Australian retail first and the launch of a Lorna Jane Active Living Room in a global airport first.
The introduction of the Lorna Jane Active Living Room directly addresses the growing needs of the modern traveller and is a unique health offering affording passengers an opportunity to experience a greater sense of wellbeing within the airport environment.
Sydney Airport’s T3 Domestic terminal is also a high quality terminal offering passengers the latest in international and Australian retail.
