Train services on several Scottish lines will commence later than usual on Thursday morning due to safety measures implemented following Storm Pia.

Passengers traveling within Network Rail’s North West and Central region can anticipate an enhanced and more dependable railway in 2024 owing to scheduled upgrade and maintenance operations during the Christmas and New Year period.

Drivers are being advised to plan their routes ahead of time as bridge repairs and lane closures lasting for 10 weeks are set to commence at Paisley Gilmour Street station in January.

On December 14th, the Transpennine Route Upgrade unveiled a new book in collaboration with author Chris Madeley.
