The region has welcomed as many as 256,703 Malaysian tourists between January and July this year as compared with 215,354 for the same period in the year 2016, as per the Taiwan Tourism Bureau KL Office director Tony Wu at a particular press conference at Wisma MATTA.
Wu had mentioned that the 19.2% rise id due to Taiwan’s efforts to lure the Muslim tourists from Malaysia.
He said that Taiwan has been making great effort to improve the travel ambiance for Muslim tourists. Taiwan has been ranked the seventh most favorable non-OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) nation among the Muslim tourists across the world in the Mastercard Crescentrating Muslim Global Travel Index 2017.
Wu went on to add that the Muslim tourists would now be able to download the Halal.Taiwan app to hunt for halal eateries inside the country.
He also motivated the Malaysians top catch the blooming season of cherry seasons in the region of Taiwan between February and late March. In addition Taiwan is being promoted as a Favourite Destination of Asia for the second time at the forthcoming MATTA Fair at Putra World Trade Centre from 8th till 10th September 2017.
Tourists would also be capable of enjoying performances from the World Championship gold medallist Taiwan Cheerleading Team that witnesses the making of cotton candy and taste Taiwanese cuisines including red bean, Sanxing scallion cakes, milk shaved ice and tea eggs at the fair as revealed by Rocky Khow who is the executive council member of MATTA.
