Trust Lin, Director, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Singapore Office, signaled the train wrapped in colorful images of the campaign, on its maiden journey from the Versova Metro station.
Having photos of well-known web-series actors, Sumeet Vyas and Sapna Pabbi, on vacation in Taiwan, the vivacious imagery emphasizes the huge variety of holidays offered by Taiwan, ‘The Heart of Asia’, as well as its rich history and scenic beauty. The role of Sumeet Vyas in English Vinglish was appreciated by the Taiwanese audience and English Vinglish created a box office record of being the 2nd highest grossing Bollywood movie in Taiwan. He will be seen along with Kubra Sait in REJCTX, a ZEE5 Original. From August 1st, this special Mumbai Metro train will run for a month, also in juxtaposition with India’s Independence Day. There will be a Taiwan Train for every 7 trains that halts in every station, reaching out to Mumbai Commuters at a high frequency.
This campaign is part of TTB’s constant initiations to make Indian travelers and grow the number of Indian visitors to Taiwan. Underscoring the significance of India, over the past year as a tourist market, TTB has increased its budget for marketing for India by six-fold, taking it to US$1.2 million annually.
