A new and exciting art installment for the area is the soon-to-open Audain Art Museum, founded by Vancouver home builder/art connoisseur Michael Audain.
The Audain Art Museum will hold a vast collection of British Columbian produced artwork, including one of Canada’s most impressive Emily Carr collections, including ‘The Crazy Stair’, recently sold at auction for a record breaking $3.3 million. Renowned Vancouver photographer Jeff Wall will host the inaugural display in the museum’s temporary exhibition space, which will feature an ever-changing range of exhibits from leading museum’s across the globe. The Audain Art Museum – Whistler’s newest cultural attraction – is scheduled to open November 21, 2015.
