Tanzania is all set to participate in ITB Berlin, one of the popular trade fairs in the world is scheduled in March 8th 2017. Geoffrey Tengeneza a senior public relations officer with Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) said that east African countries will be getting a priority in the upcoming global tourism fair or Internationale Tourismus Borse (ITB) show in Berlin, Germany.
He said that Tanzania will count on legendary footprints of the earliest humans who believed to be the original residents of North Tanzania almost 4 million years ago. This would make Tanzania to outcast Kenya and South Africa, two chief competitors. Geoffrey Tengeneza said that the group participating in the trade fair will utilize the footprints in marketing and promoting Tanzania’s tourism and attract tourists more and more. To quote Geoffrey, ‘’ This year we use the Laetoli footprints as our best weapon among the many weapons in our armory at the ITB Berlin show.’’
