On Tuesday, the public tourism body of Tanzania said that it’s all set to organize an in-door International Tourism Expo, known as the Swahili International Tourism Expo in Dar es Salaam, east Africa’s commercial capital.
From Oct 13th, the three-day tourism expo will take place which has already started attracting countries like Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Mauritius, Rwanda, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and India, as informed by Devota Mdachi, Tanzania Tourist Board or TTB’s Managing Director.
The Julius Nyerere International Convention Center or the JNICC, a Chinese built convention center will organize the expo, as explained by Mdachi to a news conference.
Mdachi informed that over 150 institutions and companies related to tourism from 13 African countries and 186 tourist agents from all over the world to get together with their local counterparts and talk about the ways to promote the industry.
She also added by saying that the tourist agents will come from countries like, Ethiopia, India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Morocco. She further said that after the expo concludes, the agents will visit different tourist attractions in Tanzania.
The Swahili International Tourism Expo targets inbound as well as outbound travel businesses to and within Africa.
Besides, the event highlights all the possibilities in terms of travel in Tanzania – within and further than the famous attractions in sixteen National Parks, around Mount Kilimanjaro and on the gorgeous beaches on the Island of Zanzibar.
Lately, conservation and sustainable tourism, along with tropical tourism and traveling within East Africa, are some of the key subjects that would be promoted during the expo.
