The opening of TappooCity Lautoka will improve their ability to provide entertainment and world-class services to tourists coming from cruise ships, as said by Lautoka City Council CEO Jone Nakauvadra.
His comment was in response to complaints by tourists off luxury cruise liner Celebrity Solstice that visited Sugar City last week that there was not enough entertainment or cultural events in Lautoka in comparison with Suva. To quote Nakauvadra, “TappooCity will provide the perfect venue for these types of entertainment activities.
We have seen what TappooCity Suva does when cruise liners visit the Capital City and we expect that the same will happen here as well. We have a tourism committee that is supposed to look at things like entertainment, but while everyone is enthusiastic with ideas, they are not so eager when it comes to funding the entertainment.”
TappooCity will not only provide employment scope, along with diverse food and retail outlets, it will also add to entertainment factor for visitors from overseas.
