At the heart of authentic oriental cooking are the notions of hospitality and family, two concepts that are treasured by the culinary team behind Shai Salon at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. They have sought to reflect and honour these values with a fresh perspective on the menu and a unique array of delicacies. Available from 6:00 pm until 1:00 am, guests can enjoy lounging on the Terrace of the restaurant, soaking in the spectacular backdrop of the resort’s landscaped gardens while dining on delicate oriental dishes.
From the concept of the new menu to the craftsmanship and ultimately the overall creation, every detail has been carefully constructed to cater to the Middle East’s favourite flavorings. The menu has an array of hot and cold offerings that are idyllic for friends and family to share. Old Arabic favourites include succulent chicken shish taouk that has been patiently grilled to perfection on charcoal and served with freshly dressed green leaves and warm homemade pita bread. The signature Shai Salon speciality, lamb chops rich in flavouring and served with zalouk eggplant paste infused with fresh heirloom tomatoes and lightly topped off with garlic. Bursting with oriental flavours and aromas, this is the perfect Arabic snack to start off the evening.
Along with savoury dishes, the menu has a variety tantalising sweet treats that will tempt anyone looking to top off their meal. The famous umm Ali is already a favourite of guests dining in the Resort, as the team have constructed their own recipe that takes the time old favourite and adds a special twist to it. Blended with warm pistachios, raisins and topped off with rosewater, it’s a unique mix of sweet and savoury that makes for the perfect evening indulgence.
To accompany the offerings there is freshly brewed Moroccan tea and handcrafted mocktails, as well as a wide array of shisha flavours, making it the perfect complement to the Arabic-inspired menu.
