Of late, the Tourism Authority of Thailand or TAT hosted the annual TAT Action Plan for 2018 meeting. This covers both the areas of international and domestic tourism. The marketing strategy 2018 for TAT has been chalked out to provide the purpose of revenue generation and growing visitor arrival, endorsing new trends and ideas and following the development agenda of Thailand 4.0 by utilizing the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy along with Inclusive Tourism which upholds equilibrium between economy, society and environment. All policies are in tandem with the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan and 2nd National Tourism Development Plan.
This year has been identified as a challenging year; TAT has been intensifying the policies for tourism marketing so that it can motivate the economy of the country. Various activities like Village to the World, Creative Thailand and The Link have been designed to showcase the Thai Local Experience. This attempt has been triumphant as the number of probable and first-time visitors has increased to a huge extent. TAT will carry on with this concept for its action plan in 2018. Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “TAT will use tourism to promote sustainable development with the community as the ultimate beneficiary. We believe this will pave the way for Thailand to be a preferred destination among international visitors.”
